Made to Order
Signature designs can be commissioned around a carefully selected natural gemstone and handcrafted in the metal you prefer. We take on a small number of commissions each month to allow each piece the time and attention it deserves.

When revisiting a Signature design, Moira carefully sources gemstones for you to choose from. Even within the same design, small differences in scale and nuance ensure that no two rings are ever the same.
Please note, we work exclusively with natural gemstones and do not use lab-created stones or stones supplied by the client.
Personal Touches
Alongside your chosen gemstone and precious metal, there are a few subtle ways to make a Signature piece feel even more personal. A hidden gemstone set discreetly inside the band or a meaningful engraving can be added to the piece.
Made in Scotland
Each Signature piece is designed in Edinburgh and handcrafted in our workshop in Scotland with the same care and attention as our bespoke commissions. All pieces are hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office with the Edinburgh Castle mark.

What’s the process for a made to order Signature piece?
We begin with a short conversation to understand the Signature design you’re drawn to and the kind of gemstone you’re looking for. We’ll then curate a small selection of suitable natural gemstones for you to view; either in person at the studio or remotely. Once your stone is chosen, the piece is carefully made in the workshop and finished by hand.
Why does a new Signature commission differ from the original price?
Archive pieces represent completed works created at a specific moment in time.
Commissioning a Signature design includes personalised consultation, gemstone sourcing and refinement of the design. As a result, pricing for a new commission will reflect today’s materials and the service involved.
How is this different from a bespoke commission?
Made to order Signature pieces are created using an existing design from the collection. While the gemstone and metal can be chosen, the overall design remains the same. Bespoke commissions involve designing an entirely new piece from scratch.
Can the design be altered at all?
The Signature design itself remains unchanged. Small variations in proportion can occur naturally depending on the gemstone chosen, but the setting, stone shape, and overall form stay true to the original design.
How long does a made to order piece take?
Once your gemstone has been chosen, most made to order Signature pieces are completed within approximately eight weeks. Timings can vary slightly depending on the piece and time of year.
Is there a starting price for made to order Signature pieces?
Made to order Signature pieces typically begin from £6,000 with a minimum of £4,000. Final pricing depends on the chosen gemstone, metal, and any additional personal touches.
Can I supply my own gemstones?
We only work with stones source by Moira and the team, as this allows us to properly assess quality, authenticity and responsible sourcing.
Working in this way ensures every piece meets the same standards of craftsmanship, integrity, and traceability.
Can this be done remotely if I’m not based nearby?
Yes. We regularly work with clients internationally and can share curated gemstone selections digitally, followed by detailed guidance throughout the process.
