On Monday the 16th of June, Patience Jewellery was awarded the top prize in The Young EDGE (encouraging dynamic growth entrepreneurs) category of The Scottish EDGE Awards.
Hailed as Scotland’s real life Dragons Den, the young entrepreneurs are put through a tough application process rounded off with an 11 minute pitch in front of a panel of successful Scottish business owners. Supported by Scottish Enterprise, The Princes Trust and RBS, The EDGE awards are the highlight of the entrepreneur’s calendar, showcasing the dynamic array of business growing in Scotland.
Along with 8 other companies, Patience Jewellery was one of the top 3 competitors successfully obtaining the top cash prize.
This is a huge deal for us at Patience and a great honour. This funding will allow us to create our new collections and focus on rolling out our extensive marketing plan. We are looking to explore new markets and this money will allow us to spread our wings.
On a personal level the whole process was very vigorous and gruelling, but a massive learning curve. It was also so great to meet other people in the same boat as you, and from it I have met some lovely new friends.
Scotland’s very own Johnstons of Elgin are now stocking Patience Jewellery.
Hearing ‘Patience Jewellery’ in the same breath as ‘Johnstons Cashmere’ gives us confidence that our message of quality and luxury is clear.
Johnstons is a huge inspiration of ours - a successful Scottish brand which has maintained their heritage and supreme quality whilst expanding globally.
Thank you to all of the staff in Elgin and St Andrew's for your hospitality and enthusiasm.
Of all the stunning places we have ever been, Skibo Castle has to be the most opulent and luxurious."
