For a unique engagement ring, I love to use pear-shaped stones. The delicate elongated shape adds a touch of grace and the impression of length to the hand. I often add a halo of diamonds or complimentary side stones into my designs for some extra sparkle.

Pear-shaped gemstones are a delight; they have a unique teardrop silhouette that works beautifully in earrings. 

 

 

Value for Money

You tend to get a really good ‘spread’ with pear-shaped gems; they can look considerably larger than other cut gemstones of the same weight. So for example, a 1ct pear-shape diamond can look considerably larger than a 1ct round, or princess cut diamond.
