White diamonds come on a graded colour scale starting from D (D is completely colourless). This was quite a 'yellowy' white diamond - around K on the colour scale, but when set in yellow gold the colour of the diamond is really enhanced and the stone comes to life. We set it in my classic petal setting to create a timeless engagement ring.
