A wee while ago I was asked to design an exclusive collection for PAD Lifestyle: Edinburgh’s premiere lifestyle shopping destination. It was incredibly exciting as the brief was completely open with just one request from Anna, the Director of PAD – to use stunning coloured ethically sourced gemstones. I was more than happy to oblige!

 

 

 

 

After the designs had been signed off, we sourced the gemstones directly from a family-run, ethical mine in Brazil and had these gemstones cut specifically to our designs. A beautiful combination of milky rose quartz, subtle apple-coloured tints of green amethyst & a strikingly blue topaz all made the grade and the results are simply stunning.

 

 

 

 

 

Designed to be comfortable yet striking, the pieces are all handmade in the Patience Jewellery workshop in bright sterling silver. Moira drew inspiration from the Art Deco period with the geometric shapes, but added a contemporary yet timeless twist. The proportions & shapes of the gemstones allow for maximum light to enter the stone and create a fire of colour and sparkle. Each ring is a size ‘M’ but can be sized or ordered at the desired size. The necklace can be worn at 16’’ to  20’’.
