We have a showroom on Hill Street in the centre of Edinburgh. Please note that we operate on an appointment-only basis so we can provide the best experience possible.
Yes, we currently take appointments Thursdays 10am - 7pm, Fridays 10am - 5pm and Saturdays 10am - 2pm. To book a complimentary consultation please email moira@patiencejewellery.com or call 0131 526 3279. Alternatively, book an appointment here.
Yes, many of our clients are based overseas, so it’s not a problem if you're unable to visit our showroom in Edinburgh. Moira is happy to work with you over the phone and by email.
We have a minimum spend of around £2,750 for bespoke commissions. If you wish to order one of our existing ready-to-buy pieces, the prices are listed on the website. We will always confirm the final price with you before commencing work on your bespoke piece.
We can take inspiration from an existing design to create something new and unique, however, we will not copy another designers work.
Yes, the final price quoted included 20% VAT.
We offer a full refund within 30 days on ready-to-buy pieces bought from our showroom if the piece is returned in perfect condition. For bespoke orders, we ask clients to sign off on the final design before we proceed to manufacture so we are unable to offer any refund on bespoke orders. Customer satisfaction is our priority so if you have any issues with your bespoke piece, we are happy to try and resolve any problem to the best of our ability.
All orders are shipped with next day delivery via royal mail and fully insured.
We source our gemstones from a number of suppliers based in UK. We also have suppliers for small, ethically run mines worldwide and suppliers for fully-traceable Canadian diamonds. Any cut diamond legally imported into the UK must abide by the Kimberley Process.

Yes, we have a fairtrade license for 18ct and 9ct gold.
By law all jewellery sold in the UK must have a UK hallmark. We have our stamp registered with The Edinburgh Assay Office & The Birmingham Assay Office and everything we make is hallmarked.
Yes we do, we offer beautiful engraving done by hand (not machine).
Any pieces we make using gemstones provided by us will come with an insurance replacement valuation document at the end of the process.
If you are looking to have your existing jewellery revalued we do offer this service through Lee-ona Long (MIRV - Member of the Institute of Registered Valuers) once a month in the showroom. Please email moira@patiencejewellery.com for more info.
