Where is Tourmaline found?
Tourmaline has been found worldwide, most notably Afghanistan, Africa, Brazil, Sri Lanka and the USA. Brazil has been the world's leading source of Tourmaline for almost 500 years and the rarest of all tourmalines, the minty green/blue coloured 'Paraiba' variety are from from the state of Paraiba in Brazil.

Colour
Tourmaline has one of the widest colour ranges of all gems. Parti-colour tourmalines display more than one colour. One of the most common combinations is green and pink and known as 'Watermelon Tourmaline'.

Hardness
Tourmaline is rated 7-7.5 out of 10 on the Mohs scale of hardness so it's pretty hard. It’s durable enough to wear regularly and has brilliant lustre and polish.
